Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Requirements to the articles in the journal "Linguistics. Linguoculturology"

The journal "Linguistics. Linguoculturology" considers urgent issues of contemporary linguistics, theoretical aspects of cognitive linguistics, pragmalinguistics, linguoculturology, ethnoculturology, ethnolinguistics, text linguistics of text and others.

The articles of graduate students, competitors, and students are given with the review of the scientific supervisor, notarized by the corresponding educational establishment seal or with the recommendation of scientific council.

The editing board can publish the articles to be discussed, not sharing the authors’ point of view. The authors of the articles bear personal responsibility for exactness of the given facts, names and other information, as well as for the content of materials, not subject to the open publication.

According to the requirements of State Attestation Commission of Ukraine the article is to contain relevance of the problem, analysis of the latest scientific researches, purpose of the paper, exposition of basic material of research, conclusions and prospects of further scientific investigations in this direction, list of the literature used.

Articles of all authors are subject to internal and external review and are checked for plagiarism.

Texts of articles are accepted by e-mail: 123zub@ua.fm as the attached file, done according to the requirements given below.

The article is accompanied by:

  • scanned review of scientific supervisor (for students, master students)
  • file with information about the authors (last name, name, patronymic in full, graduate degree and scientific title, job, position, scientific interests, numbers of official and domestic telephones, mailing address, address of e-mail). If there are several authors, it is needed to specify, who of the authors presents the authorial group.

The term of the article publication is to be specified immediately before sending the article.

Rules of the article registration (general):

  • The volume of the article is 7-12 pages.
  • Standards: size of 16 pt, interline interval - 1, indention 1 cm, margins - overhead, lower are 2 cm, the left is 2 cm, the right 2 cm, Type - Times New Roman.
  • The language of the article is Ukrainian, Russian, English, German, French, and Polish.

Requirements to the article registration

  • On the top of the page it is specified:

- UDC - on the left of the page (type - Times New Roman semi-bold, single interval)

- Scientific title, graduate degree, last name, name and patronymic of the author (s), position of each of the authors separately, country; Type - Calibri (Basic text) size - 14

- The Title is  located in the centre without indention, type - Arial Black semi-bold, size - 14 pt Arial Black, single interval,  language -  Ukrainian, Russian, English) and contains

- Name of the article - distinguished by uppercases; in case of subheading of the article - by lowercases in brackets.

- summaries (no less than 1800 signs, inscription in  italic, size 12 pt, interval - 1) and keywords (no less than 5-7) are further brought in the Ukrainian, Russian and English languages. Type - Times New Roman

  • References formulation:
  • Bibliographic Refs.s in the text are given in square brackets. The first figure is the number of source in the list of literature, second is the number of a page. The number of source and number of page is divided by comma, numbers of sources - by a semicolon. For example: [1], [2, p. 27], [3, p. 49; 4, p. 127-131], [5; 7, 9; 10, 12-24], multivolume edition - [5 (1, p. 160)]. Notes are given at the end of the article. The dot is put after brackets.
  • At the end of the article: list of literature (necessarily, no less than 6 sources). Inscription is size of 12 pt, interval is single. Bibliographic sources are presented in alphabetical order.

Requirements to the article are obligatory.

Manuscripts not meeting the requirements are not accepted!
