 The relevance of the article is determined by the problem of constructing of textbooks maintenance in foreign and Ukrainian didactics, the great number of scientific researche is based on different conceptual approaches. It is illuminated in scientific works both didactics-researches (V. P. Bespalko, N. М. Burinskaya, А. Gabidullina, D. D. Zuev, Ya. P. Kodlyuk, В. P. Kprneeva, В. В. Kraevskiy, А. М. Lebedev, I. Ya. Lerner, F. of Gerard, А. Ya. Savchenko, А. М. Topuzova, М. I. Tupalskiy, А. P. Okolelov, S. G. Shapovalenko and others) and authors of textbooks studying foreigh languages (N. P. Basay, I. L. Bim,, V. М. Plakhotnik, V. G. Redko, К. P. Milrud, Yu. Martunova, N. K. Sklyarenko, N. Yu.Ushakova and others).

 The aim of the article consists in the analysis of the different aspects, related to the questions of perfection of school textbooks that is reflected in numerous researches of teachers and linguists.

The object of analysis in the article is a school textbook of Russian language. Quality of school textbook greatly depends on availability of its text perception by students, because both maintenance of object and methodical basis are presented in a textbook as text. Text is its  main means that creates a textbook, and its quality, first of all, quality of textbook determines. The necessity of compact presentation of certain volume to educational information compels the authors of textbooks to call to creation of the quality compressed texts. Quality of text is the first and one of the main problems of linguistics.

Besides purely linguistic and neutral means, pragmatics of the compressed educational text needs "decorative" stylistic elements. Attractiveness as an important feature of educational text is achieved by means of number of stylistic devices(epithet, metaphor, personification and others) that are also in the part of the most compressed genres. Research of the compressed text allows to find out some defects in their drafting and produce corresponding recommendations on their construction. On linguistic basis of compression of text additional funds accumulate in a number of cases, or so-called "decorative" stylistic devices.

Optimization of text is an important problem of linguistics, didactics and other sciences. Different type of prints are used in the textbook researched by us, with a general tendency to present heading and text of exercises in more large type, certificate information - by smaller print, so we can draw conclusion that the size of type can be considered as one of methods of text compression.

According to our research, syntactic complication of compressed text must be varied depending on the addressee of textbook and a degree and facilities of complication of sentence (homogeneous parts of sentence, turns etc.) must proportionally increase.

At the study of object it is necessary to operate the all greater amount of terms. So, on our research, in textbooks for 5-6 classes of foot-notes and references are related to the linguistic-cultural and general concepts, while in senior classes closeness of the terminological filling of reference source appropriately increases.

The problem of optimization of educational book is conditioned by the requirements related to the necessity of perfection of its different aspects  qualities, that, in opinion of many linguists, must assist the effective affecting of this information generator reader.
