The urgency of the article is due to the interest of scientists in several branches of linguistics - dialectology, phraseology and ethnolinguistics, as well as the practical implementation of the conceptual approach to the phenomena of the real world.

The purpose of the paper is to comprehensively analyze one of the iconic concepts of Ukrainian culture and worldview that has penetrated into the economic, domestic and cultural spheres of Ukrainian life.

The object of the analysis in the article is the concept of a pig in all manifestations and variations - an analysis of this world, and in particular Ukrainian, the image of the mythological, economic, everyday, etymological, phraseological, and folkloric points of view.

The article deals with the contemporary views of linguists on the questions of dialectology, namely the problems of dilingualism in various areas of Ukrainian language activity; the peculiarities of dialect phraseological dictionaries in Ukraine are analyzed, since dictionaries of this type contain the largest array of information about a particular national concept; In addition, the material of dialect phraseological and lexical dictionaries provides an opportunity to conduct a comparative analysis of typical concepts that are characteristic of different regions of Ukraine and different age and social strata of the population.

The article deals with the concept of concept, which involves the unity of the form and content of phraseology, its close connection with all the realities of life of a Ukrainian. The processed material shows that the analysis of the image through conceptual perception is the most complete, integral and objective, since it enables us to comprehensively see and characterize the symbolic symbol - thus, scientific studies of ethnographers, etymologists, folklorists, theologians, etc. are involved in the analysis of the concept.

Consideration of the material shows that the pig's symbol is one of the most popular in Ukrainian culture and economic life - this is the way in which numerous attributes and prohibitions, traditions and preferences are connected; the external and behavioral characteristics of the pig became an embodiment of various human deficiencies. In the article, a comparison is made between the Ukrainian dialect phraseologisms - as a result of both phraseological parallels and the authenticity of the folk phrase creation; It also turns out the role of the regional phraseologisms in the formation of the all-Ukrainian phraseological fund.

Ukrainian economic and spiritual culture develop in close connection with the world's vision of the environment, therefore, the article focuses on the world symbol of wild boar and pigs, the interpretation of this mythological and real image in ceramics, litfish, agriculture, cattle breeding, and religion. The material of the article reveals the dualistic essence of the image of the pig in the Christian doctrine - as the protector of the little Jesus Christ, and the personification of the unclean power; it turns out the "mythological" cause of non-use of pork by representatives of other religions, in particular Judaism. The article explains the reason for the introduction of the pig in the pantheon of sacred animals, which formed the twelve-year Chinese calendar.

The analysis of the concept of a pig testifies to the general distribution of this image in Ukrainian and world gastronomy, economic activity, culture.
